Weymouth and Portland Round Table Chairman Adam Luckhurst (pictured below left) visited Fancy’s Farm on Portland recently to present a £400 cheque to the popular visitor attraction. Adam, who was appointed Chairman earlier this year when the Round Table relaunched after Covid, didn’t have far to travel to make the presentation as he’s also a Director of Portland based national care provider Agincare.

One of Adam’s first moves as Chairman was to extend the Round Table’s fundraising efforts and donations to good causes across both Weymouth and Portland areas. The move recognises the close bonds between the two communities, brings benefits to both areas and gives the Table a strong voice locally.

Recent fundraising efforts by Table members included running a Gin Bar at Weymouth Harbour’s popular Fayre in the Square festival. The team raised an impressive £1,000 over two days for local good causes (see pictures below).

Weymouth Round Table is a registered charity made up of committed volunteers that want to make a positive difference to the town. They bring with them varying backgrounds, trades, skills and talents with an ethos of loyalty, tradition and good will. Visit our home page to find how to apply for a donation from the Round Table.
